I have extensive experience in advocacy. Throughout my diplomatic career I worked for the equality of all employees regardless of ethnic origin, sexual orientation or gender. As a board officer of Gay and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies (GLIFAA), I persuaded the Department of State to change its vote in the United Nations. Since my retirement from the Department of State, I have served as the excutive director of two non-profits and increased the funding and prestige of both. I have the diplomatic, fundraising, grants management, media management, and advocacy skills that can carry any organization to the next level.
